National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS)
The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, also referred to as NAPPS, is the oldest and only nonprofit organization dedicated to representing the interests of professional pet sitters and pet sitting companies. NAPPS is a member-based organization that is run by volunteers from within the industry. It is dedicated to ‘raising and abiding by industry standards and supporting members with education, certification, and the resources to operate successful businesses.’ NAPPS welcomes pet sitters and pet parents to their community with Membership hovering around 2,200 pet sitters nationwide.
Pet Sitters International (PSI)
Pet Sitters International (PSI) is the world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters. Pet Sitters International is dedicated to educating professional pet sitters and promoting, supporting, and recognizing excellence in pet sitting both in the United States and abroad.
With more than 4,000 professional pet-sitting members worldwide, PSI's member businesses “provide pet-care services for more than 800,000 caring and conscientious pet-owning households and generate more than $443 million in pet-sitting revenues annually, according to PSI’s latest State of the Industry Survey (2018).”
